Wallis Hamilton Industries: Textpattern plugin Technorati tags in body

Textpattern plugin Technorati tags in body

[update: This plugin superceded by ttag]

Plugin ben_tag

Download ben_tag here.

Usage: <txp:ben_tag tag="Technorati" />

Insert whatever tag you want in place of Technorati.

Result: This will insert a tag into the body of your article.

Motivation: I’ve been using a bookmarklet to create Technorati tags for entries. Then I read about a wordpress plugin (thanks to Pietro Speroni di Fenizio) that lets you create technorati tags within the body of an article.

I thought that would be a fine to have for .

So off I went to Textpattern.org for a plugin to do this. This is when I became unstuck. I couldn’t find one (if there is, please let me know).

So I read Rob’s Textpattern Plugin How To and using Zem’s Plugin Template Thanks to the simple code example on Rob’s page and the ease wtih which Zem’s template creates a plugin, I was able to figure it out myself.

Enjoy, and leave your comments below.
